Behind the Seams: Crafting the Perfect Sailing Jackets

When it comes to outdoor gear, choosing the right garment for the conditions makes all the difference, especially when you’re out on the water.
For the Y Canberra Sailing Club, we worked to select a jacket that could handle cool, windy weather while still allowing the participants to move freely. The final choice: a water-repellent soft-shell jacket with a thick lining, a hideaway hood, and adjustable cuffs. The perfect mix of warmth, durability, and practicality.
“They are so nice and warm, I love the inside pockets that zip up securing things” shared one sailing instructor, highlighting just how functional the jackets are in real conditions.
To make sure the branding stood out, we carefully scaled each print to suit different jacket sizes, keeping the Y logo sharp on the front and YMCA Sailing Club bold across the back.
The result? A professional, practical look that’s built to perform, and ready for all conditions, even in a Canberra cold snap.
