Behind the Seams with Y Community School

At Y Gear, some of our favourite projects are the ones that mean something special to the people who wear them. Recently, we worked with Y Whittlesea and the Y Community School to create personalised student hoodies, each with an individual name on the back in a classic college-style font.
 
To make sure every hoodie looked just right, our designer scaled each name individually, so they were balanced and the perfect size. The design was finished in our Y Youth blue, giving the hoodies a standout look that students could wear proudly.
 
The Y Community School is established to respond to the needs of young people who are disengaged, or at significant risk of disengaging, from mainstream education. That’s why projects like this matter, they remind us that when students feel proud of who they are, they’re empowered to thrive.

The students loved them so much, they have already placed a re-order, and we couldn’t be prouder to bring their vision to life.
